How It Works

The core of each refreshable braille display device is a proprietary technology using printed circuit boards (PCB). Braille Screen contains a single 30cm square PCB. The primary technology uses microluidics to actuate a membrane to form the Braille dots. Each dot consists of:

Microheater at one end
Flexible membrane covering the cell
Phase change material within the cell
